At Newark Manor, the day usually starts with breakfast in one of our 3 dining rooms. The daily menu is posted outside the kitchen door and careful attention is paid to a resident's likes and dislikes, as well as any need for therapeutic diets. Adapting to individual needs is just part of what we do.
Activities usually begin around 10 in the morning. Daily activities vary and are created with the expressed purpose of maintaining and even improving a resident's quality of life. Our activity staff are trained well how to adapt activities to a resident's limitations or preferences.
Residents are also encouraged to continue to pursue life-long interests, independently, as they are able. Families are encouraged to be involved in whatever way they wish. Activities continue throughout the facility, all day long.
