All residents are encouraged to participate in the rich experiences provided by our Activities Department.
Activities change weekly, and typically include music programs, pet programs, social events, crafts, memory enrichment & reminiscing groups, and more.
Newark Manor Nursing Home is an Intermediate Care facility.

We pride ourselves in giving residents the best possible care and attention.  To that end, Respite care is provided through four uniquely-defined levels of care.

Each care level is all-inclusive in cost.  
Personal hygeine products may be brought from home. 
Level I Level II Level III Level IV
- Resident can ambulate.
- Resident is able to wash him/her self.
   May need assistance up to 2x a week.
- Resident is able to dress him/her self.
   May need assistance up to 2x a week.
- Resident requires
assistance in bathing 3-5x a week.
- Resident requires
assistance in dressing 3-5x a week.
- Resident requires
assistance in grooming 3-5x a week.
- Resident requires oversight
of non insulin dependent diabetes.
- Resident requires
incontinence management.
- Resident requires
assistance with bathing 5-7x a week.
- Resident requires
assistance with grooming 5-7x a week.
-Resident requires
assistance with dressing 5-7x a week.
- Resident requires
assistance with eating (i.e. cueing, being fed)
no more than 3x a week.
- Resident needs
one person to assist in transfers (i.e. bed to chair, etc)
- Resident is an insulin-dependent diabetic.
- Resident has behaviors
which require frequent monitoring.
- Resident requires
total care with bathing.
- Resident requires
total care with grooming.
- Resident requires
total care with dressing.
- Resident is totally incontinent.
- Resident requires
total assistance with feeding.
-Resident requires
2 persons to assist with transfers
or transfers with a lift.
Care level needs are determined by the physician, our Director of Nursing, and by the helpful information of the resident's current caregivers.
